Typography

I think a lot of typography is really beautiful so here is a round up of some of my favorites I've seen over the past year or so:

Samso: The Little Island that Could

Samso, a Danish island of only 4000 inhabitants, has virtually eliminated their carbon footprint. All electricity is derived from wind turbines, most energy is derived from solar energy and the island is in the process of making several other lifestyle changes to do their part to save the world as part of their '100% in 10 Years' project. Pretty amazing stuff and cool mysterious picture.

Light Graffiti

I think non-permanent graffiti is pretty cool and some of the most original projects I've seen use light graffiti. It's a project I've wanted to try out for a while and haven't had the time to set it up properly. Here are some of my favorite photos and a sweet little video showing how it's done--enjoy!

Giant Spider!

This story was out a few weeks ago but I wanted to share it anyways. A huge mechanical spider is roaming the streets of Liverpool! And no one is scared. Partially, I think the spider is really beautiful. Partially, I love how dramatic this BBC reporter tries to make her story. Overall, great little video.
